The Career Development and Placement Office at our institution plays a crucial role in shaping the paths of our students' futures. Grievance Redressal Cell

The Grievance Redressal Cell is established to formally address student grievances and suggestions.

A Suggestion Box is available on the ground floor for students to submit their grievances and suggestions. Additionally, verbal complaints and suggestions are also accepted and investigated.

Primary Objectives:

  • SPromoting accountability and fostering a sense of responsibility.
  • S Considering and implementing student suggestions.
  • S Ensuring a positive college experience for all students.
Secondary Objectives:
  • Providing a platform for students to express their concerns and ideas.
  • Empowering students by recognizing their importance as stakeholders in the institution.
  • Cultivating awareness of the potential for individual empowerment and collective change.
  • Encouraging active participation in college and societal activities, rather than passive observation.
Anti Ragging Cell

Ragging refers to any behavior that involves noisy, disorderly conduct, or actions likely to cause physical or psychological harm, fear, shame, or embarrassment to a student within an educational institution. This includes:

  • Teasing, abusing, or playing practical jokes on a student.
  • Coercing a student into performing acts they would not willingly do under normal circumstances.
Penalties for Ragging:

Ragging is strictly prohibited within the institution, and individuals found guilty of ragging or abetting ragging, whether actively or passively, or participating in a conspiracy to promote ragging, will face disciplinary action. Depending on the severity of the offense as determined by the Anti-Ragging Squad, punishments may include:

  • Up to two years of imprisonment.
  • A fine of up to Rs 2.5 Lakhs.
  • Expulsion from the educational institution.
  • Prohibition from admission to any other educational institution.
Anti-Ragging Helpline:

Ragging is completely prohibited within the institution, and those found guilty of ragging or abetting ragging, whether actively or passively, will be punished accordingly. It's important to note that ragging is a serious offense, and it is non-bailable, cognizable, and punishable by law. Students are urged not to engage in ragging.

ANTI SEXUAL HARASSMENT CELL

Auxilium Arts and Science College for Women is dedicated to shaping a generation committed to upholding the principles of gender equality and equity. In line with the constitutional mandate and as per the guidelines of UGC and the Supreme Court, an Anti- Sexual Harassment Cell is established at Auxilium College to foster a safe and supportive environment for both staff and students. The Cell aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • Provide a neutral, confidential, and supportive space for individuals who have experienced sexual harassment.
  • Address cases of discrimination and sexual harassment against women promptly, ensuring support for victims and cessation of harassment.
  • Offer information about counseling and support services available on campus.
  • Ensure that students, faculty, and staff have access to up-to-date and comprehensive materials on sexual harassment and assault.
  • Promote awareness about sexual harassment through educational initiatives that promote a respectful and secure campus environment.
  • Develop guidelines and policies against sexual harassment.
  • Establish principles and procedures for combating sexual harassment.
  • Work out details for policy implementation and devise short and long-term action plans.
  • Collaborate with the Women’s Cell at Auxilium College.
  • Organize gender sensitization awareness programs.
Why is it important?

Sexual harassment can affect anyone in the college community, so it’s crucial for everyone to understand how to recognize and address it. The consequences for those found guilty of harassment can range from warnings and written apologies to suspension or dismissal, depending on the severity of the offense.

Procedure for Approaching the Cell:

The Cell handles complaints related to sexual harassment on campus, applicable to all students, staff, and faculty. Complaints can be lodged by the victim or a third party, addressed to the Convener of the Committee Against Sexual Harassment.

What to do if you feel you are being sexually harassed:
  • Know your rights – Sexual harassment is illegal.
  • Speak up – clearly and firmly state that you want the behavior to stop.
  • Seek information and support from friends and college authorities.
  • Keep records that may be useful for pursuing the case.
What not to do:
  • Blame yourself – sexual harassment is not your fault.
  • Ignore it – harassment won't go away if ignored.
  • Delay – prompt action can prevent further harm.
  • Hesitate to ask for help – speaking up can prevent harm to others.
    Steps to take:
  • B Inform your Class Teacher, HoD, or the Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell.
  • BApproach the Grievance Redressal Cell for Women and file a written complaint.

MEDIA CLUB

The Motto:

"Empowering Creative Minds."

Objective:

To inspire and encourage student engagement in media activities.

Action Plan:
  • Arrange introductory lectures on media skills by industry professionals.
  • Provide a designated space for students interested in photography, music, film, and documentaries, offering guidance and support for their career paths.
  • Ensure media activities are inclusive and accessible to all students.
  • Organize a group exhibition showcasing student work after one year of activities.
  • Foster personal development to prepare students for future opportunities.
  • Cultivate cooperative relationships among students.
Mission:
  • Strengthen the connection between college activities and student involvement.
  • Utilize digital marketing to advertise and promote various college events.
  • Encourage students to consider journalism as a career path.
  • Facilitate leadership development among students.
  • Foster creativity and innovation among students.

COMMITTEES OF THE COLLEGE

Development Committee:

The college has established a development committee to oversee the overall progress of the institution. The committee is composed of the following members:

  • Chairman: Principal (ex-officio)
  • Vice-chairman: Nominee appointed by the Principal
  • Members: Teaching staff nominated by the Principal
Examination Committee:

Chaired by the Principal, the examination committee oversees all college examinations, including monthly, half-yearly, and annual assessments. It is responsible for managing exam forms for various council and university exams and publishing exam results.

Admission Committee:

Led by the Principal, the admission committee includes the admission in-charge and two senior teachers. In compliance with E-admission guidelines, the committee appoints faculty members as validating officers and Helpdesk officers to facilitate the admission process and address any issues that may arise.

Library Committee:

Chaired by the Principal, the library committee comprises an Officer in-charge and nominees appointed by the Principal. The committee allocates funds for book procurement from government and UGC grants, selects books for purchase, and ensures a conducive study environment in the library. It also addresses student grievances related to library services.

Maintenance Committee:

Responsible for the upkeep of college and hostel buildings, as well as staff quarters, the maintenance committee coordinates with government agencies for repairs and renovations. It is chaired by the Principal, with nominees appointed as members.

Furniture Committee:

Chaired by the Principal, the furniture committee includes an Officer-in-charge and nominees selected by the Principal. Any furniture purchases for the institution require approval from this committee, which also monitors existing furniture inventory regularly.
