It is a great privilege and honour to meet you here, on this site! Auxilium College is a premier institution of the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco, which has educational and other service institutions in over 90 countries around the world. We are spread far and wide and we continue to inspire and mould young minds keeping in mind our founders’ charism “Give me souls take away the rest”. We seek the least and the lost and we love to do the best for them. However, it is a known fact that no institution can be great in itself; it is made great by its pupils.

Yes, dear Students, we urge you to strive for the best. The sky should be your limit. ‘To educate is an act of hope’ says Pope Francis. We are here to give you that hope, to enrich and enliven your minds and hearts. As students of this great institution, we invite you to think of what is going to be your role? And how are you going to add value and merit to this institution? Not as bystanders, but by the sweat of your brow, you will grow to be what you are and you will make this institution proud! Let no one wait for the other to change, because change begins from oneself. The integral formation that we wish you in this institution augurs to enable each of you to be worthy, outstanding, exemplary and honourable. My wish is that each of you become that great torch bearer who would bring glory and honour to this institution of ours.

It is said, “If you plan for a year, sow rice; if you plan for a decade plant trees; and if you plan for a life time, educate people!” Dear lecturers, you have indeed been given a great and noble challenge - the task of education, to make an impact of life time on these young, wonderful students. We would do well together to take our task seriously, as God given opportunity, to teach as much by our lives as by our words!

I wish, pray and bless, that everyone who enters the portals of Auxilium College may experience the blessings of the Almighty God and the Motherly protection of Mary, the Queen of Auxilium.
